Experience
A senior consulting actuary and Principal in our Halifax Office, Jeff has over 20 years of experience in the funding and administration of pension plans. He consults to a wide range of public and private sector organizations in Atlantic Canada and serves as the day-to-day contact for many clients. In addition to traditional defined benefit pension consulting, he has significant experience in workers’ compensation benefits, pension and post-employment benefit accounting matters, legislative compliance, pension plan wind-up, and executive retirement arrangements.
Jeff holds a Mathematics degree from Dalhousie University and is a Fellow of both the Society of Actuaries (SOA) and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA). In addition to his work with Eckler, Jeff is a member of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries Workers’ Compensation Committee, and a past member of the Canadian Pension and Benefits Institute Atlantic Regional Council. He also previously served on the Society of Actuaries committee that oversees the SOA’s highest level of retirement specialty exams from 2005 to 2012.
