Executive Summary
We are pleased to share the results of our inaugural annual Compensation Planning Survey. The survey was conducted from July to August 2022 and collected responses from 269 organizations.
With close to 44% of organizations still unsure about their 2023 salary budget changes, the compensation market remains highly volatile and is being influenced by many economic factors and labour force pressure.
As organizations continue to move to their “new normal” in the workplace and adjust to managing COVID-19 and ongoing impacts, compensation changes have become increasingly agile. More organizations are providing off-cycle increases and additional budgets to provide the ability to compensate differently than the typical once a year annual increase of the past. Organizations that have decided on salary increases in 2023 are forecasting an average pay adjustment of 4.2%.
