Experience
A Principal in our property and casualty insurance practice, Dane joined Eckler in 2018 and has over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry in Canada and the United Kingdom. Dane has extensive knowledge in the valuation of policy liabilities. He gained this expertise through his ongoing involvement as senior support to appointed actuaries and external reviewer of the work of other appointed actuaries for Canadian property and casualty insurers. Over the years Dane has gained significant expertise in financial forecasts, financial reporting and automobile insurance pricing.
Prior to joining Eckler, Dane worked for a major Canadian insurance company as well as for a major Canadian investment bank specializing in mergers & acquisitions for the financial institutions sector.
Dane graduated from Laval University with a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science. He is a Fellow of both the Casualty Actuarial Society and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. He also holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management (Dean’s List and Bregman Scholar).

In his spare time, Dane enjoys training for triathlons, learning languages, and listening to music. He has visited over 50 countries.
