Gino Girard

Gino joined Eckler’s Montreal pension and benefits practice in early 2023. He has more than 30 years’ experience advising pension committees and pension plan sponsors in the public, university and private sectors. Before Eckler, Gino worked for two other major consulting firms, where he was a senior pension consultant and partner. In this capacity, he served a large client base and developed his reputation as a market expert in consulting to plans administered by joint pension committees.

Gino has extensive experience in pension plan consulting and administration, particularly in the areas of funding, accounting for employee future benefits, governance and risk management. His expertise also extends to actively participating in the collective agreement negotiation process and acting as an expert witness following pension-related grievances.

A graduate of Laval University, Gino is a Fellow of both the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the Society of Actuaries.
